QLA on Guilt & Shame Teaching guilt and shame in the human body appeared to be a negative factor uncovered in my many interviews while writing a couple of books. During my early interviews, the Deputy Head of the NSW Detective Force said to me "the day we get legal nude bathing beaches all around Australia, that day you will see a drop in our sex crimes. What we so badly need in this area of life is more openness and honesty." That was back in 1967. Also, guilt feelings about such things as masturbation seem to have a negative effect on the personal lives of some I interviewed. I noticed that priests were among those prominent in child sexual abuse and wondered whether they were just victims of their own misteaching. So, what's your view?
